Experimental study on the physicochemical properties of advanced thermal stability coal-based jet fuel

  • A kind of coal-based jet fuel was made out of coal direct liquefied oil. Based on GC-MS analysis,its hydro- carbon group-type consists of 32% monocyclo-alkane,42. 3% bicyclo-alkane,13. 6% tricycle-alkane,9. 9% alkane and some aromatics on a per mass basis. Then,its physicochemical properties were also tested and proved to meet the GB 6537—2006 specification. Compared to China No. 3 jet fuel,it provides high density,lower mass calorific value, and 3. 5% prominent higher volume calorific value. Thereafter its density and viscosity changes along with temperature were studied,which provide the results of temperature correction coefficient for density,and formula to calculate vis- cosity.
