Asymmetric deformation mechanical mechanism and control countermeasure for deep roadway affected by mining

  • In order to solve the technical problem of roadway support under deep dynamic stress,using the background of the east main ventilation roadway in Hebi No. 9 Coal Mine and its problems of large asymmetric deformation and hard supporting,the deformation failure mechanism of roadway and its control countermeasure are investigated by com- bining the research methods of field investigation, engineering geological analysis and physical analog simulation as well as field tests. The obtained results indicate that the deformation failure of roadway is influenced by the surrounding rock lithology,tectonic stress,mining stress,gravity,geological structure and other factors. Its deformation mechanism is determined as type of IAB IIABD IIIABC . The mining-induced stress is the main factor for roadway asymmetric deformation because it can change the value and direction of surrounding rock stress field. Choosing the specific control counter- measure to transform the compound deformation mechanism into a single type,the asymmetric coupling control counter- measure of “bolt-mesh-cable-shotcrete+floor-bolt+whole-setion-grouting+inverted-arch” is proposed and then applied at Hebi No. 9 Coal Mine. The results of analog simulation and field monitoring show that the control strategy is effective in controlling the asymmetric deformation of surrounding rock and a good effect of field application is achieved.
