Dynamics simulation and experiment on the starting and braking of scraper conveyor

  • Considering the load side and no load side chain as well as the mechanical characteristics of the distribution of materials,the scraper conveyor dynamic differential equations were formulated using the finite element method in this study. With a full loading condition,the dynamic characteristics of scraper conveyor were also simulated under di- rect start,controlled start,freewheel,and brake then restart conditions respectively. Through the dynamic characteris- tics test system of scraper conveyor,the dynamic characteristics of the test conditions above were tested,analyzed and compared with theoretical results. The study provides the theoretical basis and experimental basis for the design of high-power scraper conveyor,and controlled start and brake system.
