Mechanical analysis and experimental study on swirling curtain dust collector

  • Traditional wet dust collector has the shortcomings of low dust efficiency,high resistance and large water consumption in the process of its operation,a new swirling curtain dust collector has been developed,which combined the atomizing dust removal and the spray curtain dust removal. This paper analyzes the working principle and mechanism of the dust removal device,and makes experimental research on its performance. The results show that the spray device uses the combination structure of ultrasonic atomizer and pressure type sprayer and the dust efficiency is improved significantly. The optimum operation conditions of ultrasonic atomizer are that the pressure is 0. 35 MPa,water consumption is 30 L/h,and the optimized liquid to gas ratio of swirling curtain dust collector is 0. 15 L/m3. Considering dust efficiency and resistance factors,the optimized wind speed of the dust collector is 14-16 m/s. And it adopts an axial double cyclone dust structure,so it has the advantages of small resistance and high efficiency of dust removal. Its dust removal efficiency is more than 99. 8% for the total dust,and 97% for breathing dust.
