Derrick foundation stability affected by thick surface soil frost heave control

  • In coal mine construction, the permanent derrick has many advantages including low investment and short construction period. However, for thick topsoil freezing sinking, due to the frost heaving and thaw settlement influence, the stability of derrick foundation is seriously affected. Study on controlling frost heave and thawing settlement control has a practical significance to the use of permanent derrick. The hydrodynamic model is used to numerically simulate the frost heaving and control process, which better simulates the continuous intermittent freezing mode of soil freezing process. The control volume method is used to discuss the stability and accuracy of the discrete equation. Based on the intermittent mechanism of frost heaving, soil frost heave can be effectively controlled. In Anju mine auxiliary shaft, during surface soil freezing shaft sinking, the intermittent freezing was implemented, and the field test shows that the test achieved a good result.
