Experimental analysis of mine pressure influence on gas emission and control

  • In order to reproduce the process that how the mining forces affect the gas emission in lab,a temperature- pressure coupled gas migration experimental system was used to simulate the gas migration progress with the changing stress state. The experiment was conducted under a constant temperature condition and two types of stress were applied on the coal sample:uniaxial pressure and confining pressure. The authors monitored gas pressure and gas flow through- out the whole process. At the same time the authors did the sampling detection of gas concentration and composition. The experimental results showed that the gas pressure and flow rate changed obviously. For instance, the gas pressure was negative when the sample was broken. The variation of the gas flow between the stress states is similar and the flow change is slightly lagging behind the stress state. Combined with field experience, the author proposed the “110 mining method” which based on the short wall beam theory to control the underground pressure. The monitoring data of hy- draulic support system in Tangshan Gou 8820 working face pressure showed the control effect for the periodic pres- sure.
