Analysis of dynamic characteristics for longwall shearer cutting transmission system with varying cutting speed

  • To overcome the weakness of traditional longwall shearer cutting transmission system (LSCT) with constant cutting speed, a new longwall shearer cutting transmission system with varying cutting speed (LSCT-V) is proposed.The translational-torsional dynamic model of LSCT-V system that includes cutting-motor rotator and drum is established with lumped-parameter method, and the computational formulas of dynamic parameters are provided.The dynamic characteristics of LSCT-V system are analyzed by using AMESim.Simulation results show that the function of frequency control for the designed LSCT-V system is achieved, and the ramp signal is more beneficial to transmission system than the step signal when regulating speed.Compared with LSCT system under the step torque load, the shock of contact force of gear pairs in LSCT-V system is smaller no matter when working in constant cutting speed or in varying cutting speed.
