Optimal design of magnetically coupled resonant WPT system in coal mine

  • In terms of the complicated environment in coal mine,in order to enhance the power of the WPT (Wireless Power Transmission) system and reduce the transmitter coil voltage,the coil structure of the WPT system transmitter was improved and the transmission model for the WPT system was proposed. According to the theory of mutual induct- ance coupling circuit, the mathematical expressions of WPT system transmission power and transmission efficiency were deduced. The impacts of coupling coefficient,input frequency and load on the transmission power and transmis- sion efficiency were elaborated separately. In the design process,the OrCAD and Matlab were used to simulate and an- alyze the various influential factors of the transmission system. Based on the studies above,an experimental platform was designed and fabricated. The optimum power transmission distance and optimum efficiency transmission distance of the WPT system were obtained through the experimental analysis. The experimental results are totally consistent with the simulation results. Compared those experiments with a typical WPT system,the transmission power of the improved WPT system is increased,which provides a theoretical reference for the field practice of the WPT system in coal mine.
