Abstract
To clarify the influence rule of electrodes material on the physical properties change of argillaceous rock under electrochemical, taking argillaceous rock from the Cenozoic coal measure strata as a sample, the corrosion features of electrodes and new minerals characterization under low voltage direct current (DC) field and with electrodes as copper, steel and aluminum respectively, the change of electric current and its reduction rate, the difference of electric resistivity and uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) of rock sample from different zones with models was studied by physical simulation, and the essential relationship between resistivity and UCS were discussed. Results show that all three metal electrode anodes are oxidized in acidic condition, and resulting in the generation of new minerals. The aluminum electrode cathode was corroded and generated gibbsite, while steel and copper electrode cathodes were not changed obviously. The electric current value reduced sharply at the beginning of applied DC field, and then reduced steadily with the treatment time increased. There were obvious differences on the decrease model and reduction rate for three models.Electric resistivity and UCS of rock sample from anode, intermediate and cathode zones for all three models tended to decrease, and the UCS of the specimen monotonically increased as electrical resistivity increased.
