An evaluation model for geological environmental impact of coal mines in Xinjiang

  • This paper presents an evaluation indicator system and evaluation model of coal mine geological environment in Xinjiang, which was established by fully taking into account of the influence factors of mine geological environment and coal mine geological features in Xinjiang. The evaluation indicator system is composed of the scale of mining-in- duced geological disaster, personnel number threatened by geological hazards, water inflow or industrial wastewater emission, predominant ground slope after the land destruction by subsidence or mining facilities excavating loss or oc- cupied, the maximum depth of subsidence or excavating loss or the maximum height of coal rejects, impact on land re- sources. Based on the learning samples from 88 evaluation units of 17 mines in Xinjiang, the evaluation model of coal mines geological environment has been established, and the model is verified by a back analysis method, the coinci- dences reaches 96. 6% . The evaluation model is then applied to the Kolk Coalmine in Xinjiang. The results of the nine evaluation units of the mine show that the proposed evaluation indicator system and model have a reference value for the assessment of the impact of coalmine geological environment in Xinjiang area. In practice, the evaluation model can be used as a powerful supplement to the standard evaluation.
